STOP PRESS - SITE ERROR - Email Problems from Contact Page

We have just discovered that messages sent direct from the website 'Contact' Page have not been arriving in our Email Inbox. We are not sure how long this has been an issue, but it could have started last weekend. If you have sent a message via this means during the last week, then we will not have not received it.

Please send it again but be aware that we are away at the Railex Show from midday on Friday 24th until Monday 27th.

We had this same issue a few weeks ago and thought that we had resolved it. The problem is basically one of emails being rejected by Google, when sent from our Domain name supplier. Our web site host passes the Contact messages onto our Domain Name supplier and they forward them to our email account with Google. We needed to configured them with this Cloud based system, so that we were able to access messages from anywhere and at anytime. Unfortunately there has been a problem with Google rejecting these messages, even though we altered some code which seemed to cure the problem previously. 

Obviously we can't carry on taking a risk that messages are not getting to us. We have therefore today reconfigured things so that we can read our messages on the web site of our Domain name provider. Whilst this will mean we have to check two separate email accounts, one for Contact Page messages and one for emails sent using our email address, it should overcome the problem.

Please accept our apologies if you have not had a reply. We will try to answer messages that are re-sent as quickly as possible once we get back from Aylesbury on Monday

(if I list our proper email address we will receive hundreds of Spam email messages - that is why most sites now use Contact Forms to prevent email grabbing software from finding email addresses and then filling the business Inbox with lots of spam messages.

Who are we and what do we sell?

C&L Finescale aims to encourage modellers who are unhappy with how the trackwork on their layout looks, to rise to the challenge of building at least some of their own track or pointwork. Our simple method is to glue chairs to sleepers and timbers, rather than soldering rails to copper clad strips, to achieve prototypical looking trackwork that includes chairs and other detail. We want you track to compliment your layout and not to look out of place with highly detailed kit and ready to run locos and rolling stock. We are now able to supply both C&L and Exactoscale track components, along with the latest additions to our range in the form of wheels, gear boxes and wagon chassis and brake gear.

The Carr's range of products covers items for the preparations prior to soldering, solders & fluxes as well as post soldering treatments. The range also includes metal black treatments, scenic items, ballast, baseboard fittings and underlay which compliment the C&L range, and are joined by products from other manufacturers such as Antex (soldering irons, bits & accessories) and Roger Smith's modelling products.
