Laser cut Building Kits

When it comes to modelling, most of us have the skills. What we lack is time. Timber Tracks kits are easy to construct, are supplied with comprehensive instructions, drawings and photographs and give you the ability to produce high quality buildings quickly.

All components are pre-cut, fully detailed, and assembled with only the minimum of tools.

Each will be a limited edition of 40 kits, numbered and signed. Once sold, they will not be repeated.

 

Low Relief Buildings

We are working on a series of low relief buildings. The first is illustrated below and represents a typical late 19th Century Warehouse. It is in fact based on the former J. S. Fry, of chocolate fame, building which once stood in Nelson Street, Bristol. (Long demolished and now replaced by a hideous carbuncle that is the Magistrates Courts). It has flat sides, so you can butt other buildings in this series up to it. Quite a large structure – it measures approximately 517mm long, 168mm high and 25mm deep in 4mm and 905mm long, 295mm high and 44mm deep in 7mm.

The kit is supplied with a ready lasered slabbed pavement, which runs along the frontage and curves around both sides.

 

And yes, we have not forgotten your requests for a GWR 3 bay Signal Box. It will be ready soon.

Brick Arch slope up. Similar in construction to the Coal Stage Extension, a brick pier structure saves width caused by the necessary batter created by an earth bank. At a gradiant of 1:28 it is long - 41 inches in 4mm and 6ft in 7mm.

GWR Coaling Stage

Our finest, most detailed kit so far. A GWR Coal stage. Not shown, but included are the coal tubs, which transport the coal to the tenders. There is a variation - the 4mm version has an original rivited tank top, whilst the 7mm has a replacement made from corrugated iron.

 

GWR Coaling Stage Extension

A brick piered extension, designed to go with the Coaling Stage.

 

GWR Sand House

Brick and louvre walled Sand House designed to sit in front of, and below the Extension Track. This is a model of the Sand House that was a feature of Pontypool Road.

 

Stationmaster & Ganger's Semi Detached House.

This is a substantial brick built semi-detached house, based on an actual prototype. Laser cut doors and windows and easy to fix roof tiles.

 

Corner Shop.

An 'L' shaped building with a rough cast finish.

 

GWR Goods Shed A

Highly detailed, as are all our kits and features internal roof bracing, a loading dock and clerk's office. Ideal for that typical GWR Branch line terminus or through station. Station Buildings, Signal Box and Engine Shed to follow.

Village Garage

It has been a long wait, and I apologize for that, but it is now available. A limited edition of 30 kits only.

The photos show a made up kit on Llaniog, our layout and shows the kit and classic Commercial's pumps, dispensers, tyres, batteries and drums. The trade signs are 4mm and are from Roger Smith's motor trade enamel signs - SLINE16, obtainable from us. Other oddments have been rescued from my junk box.

Typical of small garages seen from the 30s up until fairly recent times – there was one near to us that only closed about 10 years ago. It will make a stunning addition to any layout.

Initially available only in 7mm, it comes complete with Classic Commercial's Deluxe Garage Set. This comprises, Two Bowser Pumps, two mid period Pumps, and a complete set of Garage accessories.

Sadly, Classic Commercials superb range of vehicles and accessories are not available in 4mm. However, we will be happy to supply just the carcasing, for you to overlay with the Wills Scenic sheets – Corrugated Iron, Asbestos or Glazing. Contact us for more details.

GWR Station Building A

Even more highly detailed than the Goods Shed, (each chimney is made from 18 pieces), but still simple to construct. With full instructions and 11 separate colour photographs, showing stages of construction, this makes up into a building you will be proud to feature on your layout.

A companion to the Station Building above. Designed to be platform mounted, but equally at home free-standing.
